Shahi Chicken Biryani

Calories : 350 per serving

Ingredients:-

:: 1 1/2 cup basmati rice (soaked for 1/2 hr.)
:: 3 tbsp oil
:: 1 cup sliced onions

Dry Spices:-

:: 5 cloves
:: 5 black cardamoms
:: 2 cinnamon sticks
:: 3-4 green chillies
:: 1 tsp salt
:: 1 tsp haldi pd
:: 2 bay leaves
:: 1 tsp garam masala pd
:: 1 tsp coriander pd

Marinade:-

:: 500 gm chicken
:: 2 cups curd thick
:: 2 tbsp lemon juice
:: 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
:: 1 tsp red chilli pd

For garnish:-

:: 1 tbsp mint leaves
:: 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Method:-

1. In a microwave safe bowl add oil, sliced onions and all dry spices
and microwave at 100% power for 5 min.

2. Marinate the chicken pieces in the above marinade for 1 hr. in the
refrigerator. Add this marinated chicken in the cooked onion spice
mixture. Mix well and microwave covered on 100% power for 6-7 min.

3. Now add soaked rice to it, 3 cups of water and microwave covered
at 80% power for 12-15 min. Standing time of 5-6 min is given.

4. Garnish with chopped mint and coriander leaves. Serve with raita
and chutney.
